Practice

In my practice, I help people who are experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, and burnout or who are just feeling stuck or disconnected move towards the life they envision for themselves.  I do this work in a few different ways.  You might be someone who is interested in learning techniques to reduce anxiety, improve mood, or increase energy, and I can help with those.  Often that happens in a focused way – for example, we might identify a symptom and a technique to improve it so that you can go home and practice that for a week, and then we can meet again and add a second skill. Some people prefer to have more open-ended conversations just to talk about how things are going or to review behavior or relationship patterns they would like to change.  Lots of people benefit from both!  My clients and I set goals together, and we work towards them collaboratively.

I’ve also spent many years working with primary care doctors and psychiatrists, and while I am not a psychiatrist and cannot give medical advice myself, I am very comfortable discussing medications.
